I have no answers to your questions. I'm 1. wondering how torrents make money and 2. am just following on the other bandwagon that it's not necessarily the torrent site's fault; well, yea, they're making money off stolen content and shit, but how do they pay their bills? Hasn't that been the main factor in any discussion against any type of theft: you kill the thieving'bastard's ability to generate revenue, you kill the thieving bastards.
One, I'm confident the general public doesn't want DRM and that's fine. Yet, there's quit a few programs out there using basic authentication to protect a member's area; that shit's as outdated as the blink tag.
The internet's a digital distribution system. Security is a myth, especially when you deal with some horny, drunk person trying to whip out a card in a process that takes the least clicks possible to get it swiped and some teenager who can rip poorly protected content from a member section in minutes and then sell that drunk fucker on it in a banner ad, on the same join page, and make 40% rev-share from the sponsor drunk guy was originally going to join from. (sorry it that made no sense).
But anyway. This business feeds on its own customer base, and how I see it, circle-jerks that same customer base and eventually sends it to the pasture of torrents / napster / whatever. In regard to torrents, since it's the conversation at hand these days, there has to be a way to "swindle" money. 100,000,000 pictures at PornoCityLovePorn.com can't be wrong, right?

Untill someone says how porn sites can make money from torrents I will continue to believe there is NO way to do this.
How many years and how many people been trying to think of a way and no one has found one. But some dumb ass will say " innovative, adapt,etc.." like he knows the answer and the rest of us are just stupid for not knowing it.
