If I had the means to build a massive site of community-driven content, stolen or not, and make bank off that via advertising; advertising that not only paid my bandwidth bill but put a nice chunk of change in my pocket... shit. I'd do that in a second.
Wait... Did I say I'd do that in a heart-beat? That's what I meant.
Because companies would pay huge for the "illegal vids" I hosted for them, plus the bandwidth they'd save, because I'd pay for that. The revenue split; shit. Cut a deal like you would for a couple of those "porn review sites"; give me a better listing rank, I'll give you a better affiliate split... it's all among "partners".
Oh, but not only would I get to offer a sponsor a "fringe" customer, I could sell prime advertisement spots. What? You don't want sponsor-X teen videos showing next to such keyword, no worries. Bid on the words you want and they'd show up in the system "above" the sponsor you're outbidding.
Even better, I'd trojan horse the included scripts I got everyone to include on their own website. If it was a SWF include, I'd have been smart enough to make sure the SWF file they're including was a dummy movie that I could push anything to, if I so chose. If it was a JS file / IFrame snippet, same thing; make sure it's not pulling any cross-browser bullshit, but push a paid ad here and there and then push to the client browser what I wanted.
