Not clever advertising, but damn good marketing. As an affiliate, it would be nice to do business with companies that aren't going to allow disloyal competition, allowing certain affiliates or sites to generate sales using methods that would get me thrown out of the program. I would like to work with programs that are looking out for me, the affiliate, rather than looking out for only themselves and the amount of cash they have on hand to buy lap dances and beer for their "bros" at the next show.

It's not advertising. It's a marketing difference that is truly important.
