the folks that hustle affiliate programs are not sources of accurate info re: seasonal changes in conversions.
but they do exist, and they exist because of many of the factors discussed in this thread.
if you want the straight scoop on seasonal variability you need to talk to major e-commerce billing companies that handle predominately jackoff type porn.
(ccbill, etc)
and, to get accurate data this would have to be based on total dollar gross/# of accounts.
and i suspect they won't tell you.
there is a seasonal slowdown for whack type porn.
june is slowest month on average, july almost as bad, and things begin to improve about 10 days after college kids go back to school and get settled into their routine.
don't worry too much about it.
