is AWE still only paying revshare for 14 days?

There's also one thing that hasn't been mentioned here - the cookie swapping. If a surfer stops using your site to get to LiveJasmin, he doesn't necessarily belong to AWE after 14 days. That surfer can still make any other webmaster money, all he has to do is stumble into another site that has a LiveJasmin ref link and click it. I believe this can happen even after he registered and spent money under you.
The same can happen to you, a surfer that regularly spends money at LiveJasmin and that's been 'owned' by several other webmaster in the past, may come across your site and make you an instant sale. With some luck you can net a known whale for a few days and ride it till it lasts, although more than likely the big whales have the LiveJasmin url bookmarked or get there by typing in the domain.
Having said that, I wonder if anyone else noticed a drop in sales when the sale amount of the top 5 webmasters of the AWE list increased dramatically? I honestly don't remember seeing such high sale amounts like now. For about a year the highest I would see there was $45K maybe, but for the past few months there's 3-4 webmasters with making $70-$200K in sales per pay period!? They must be making it hard for many webmasters to get their own cookies, no? Or maybe I'm just paranoid.

Moocash gives you 35% revshare for LIFE!!Comment

That is incorrect.
I'm sure this has been pointed out already, but I'm not scanning 2 pages of replies ... I'm tired and about to log off.
The surfer goes back into the pool, so ANY webmaster (or none) can earn off him/her. So no, AWE does NOT take all the money.
And as unfair as it may sound it helps keep the program unsaturated ... mathematically, for the surfers you lose to another webmaster, you get them back the same way. Conversion rates remain steady and there's always a pool of potential customers for you.
Anyhow this has all be debated before, nothing new. There are a lot of people promoting them who seem to be doing okay. If you try them and don't see the results you like, stop. I don't know if Jace has promoted them but for anyone speaking out against it who hasn't tried them, your opinion doesn't really matter.

I could accept that but it is the fact that once you have the customer you only get 14 days worth of recurring. If the guy doesnt spend then you get 0%. This is NOT made clear on their site. That is incorrect.

I can tell this much about the one who has been consistently making over 170k for the last few months. There's also one thing that hasn't been mentioned here - the cookie swapping. He dont make it hard for other webmasters becuase he is sending awe a ton business that were @ first (not) looking for webcam girls.
He has a nice list of sweet type in domain names that get a ton of traffic. 1 is so sweet becuase it get a ton of extra traffic from google even though it's not even optimised for this mega keyword that get searched thousands of times a day.
In my opinion this is a perfect example of how people are losing money by not mixing cams with their porn and porn on their cam sites.
Now think about this....
The 14 day cookie gives other webmasters a shot @ this ton of new customers if they start surfing for cam girls just to see whats out there.Comment

so, what happens to them in the in between time when i lose them after the 14 days and no other webmaster has them cookied? no one gets the income? That is incorrect.

btw, I actually was promoting their revshare until I found this out, then I was about to setup a cobrand because I heard I never lose them if I use the cobrand....but THEN i heard that even though I use a cobrand front page, nothing else is cobranded...LOL...so what is the point?Comment

there was a few long threads in the past regarding this issue. awe responded.
imo they shouldnt call it revshare , they should call it 14 day revshare. It still serves a purpose.
AWE offers pps but people make more money with revshare , even if its only 14days .. as far as other sponsors and how long their revshare lasts.. or how much of a percentage they pay..
90% of nothing is still nothing
14 day revshare on $1000 is still more

I don't know if they are still doing it, but when the PPS option was launched they set it up so that after the first affiliate referrs the member, no other affiliate will get credit for referring that same member ever again. AWE owns them for lifetime.Comment

Now that's mighty nice of them.

i would think most cam sites work this way .. otherwise they would be paying pps everytime a surfer bought more minutes...
like usually on camsits you create a "handle" or username as a surfer right.. so i would assumewith most camsites if the user was signed up thru a pps affiliate that all the future minutes he purchased would belong to sponsor , even if he visitied thru another affiliates revshare or pps link later on and bought more minutes.hatisblack at yahoo.comComment

Looking at this thread again, one thing that really strikes me... why do AWE only pay 30% when they're going to be making $ for the life of the member anyway? Shouldn't they be paying higher since they're retaining the member?
For example, if a hypothetical member spends $10 a week on chatting then after a year AWE have grossed $520... but only $6 of that gets paid to the referring webmaster!
(FWIW, this isn't completely hypothetical. The average spend per member per year with another sponsor that offers REAL revshare is very similar to this.)Comment

I would never promote a company that offers a % deal of sales but it is only good for 14 days. You might as well be on a PPS deal then. You are not building recurring, long term income. It really isn't much different than pps since you have such a short people of time to collect from the member.i totally agree, and with AWE they seem to have a nice cobrand option, so surfers never even know they are on a AWE site, it is your domain and your headers, so in reality they will always come back to your site
I thought about the AWE cookie thing a lot, and while I dont agree with it, it is their decision to make, but I never use their default revshare links, I always set up a full cobrand with them
People saying compare your earnings etc.. You would really have to put another company side by side with them for over a year to give it a true comparison. If you try it out for a couple weeks/months, how do you know you wouldn't make more from the other program. Some people continue to be buy for months even years. So you finally land that whale and you only get him for 14 days, fuck that.ICQ: 86364801 Email: will [at] innovativeassets [dot] com

You guys bashing Awe must not have tried their program. Even with the 14 day cookie it or I should say BECAUSE of the 14 day cookie it is one of the best cam programs.
Awe doesnt own the members after the 14 days. You can resell them or any other webmaster can sell them. This keeps the program under saturated and allows a webmaster to sell someone that normaly they couldnt. Most webmasters promoting Awe actually like the 14 days.
My average conversion rate for the year is 1:150 with this period being 1:32 with a great support forum and promo tools.

But you have to remember that with AWE you have a Giant sellable customer base, the customer is not AWE's it fair game after the 14 days, not like a lifetime revshare, where joe customer goes to your site, buys and you own him...
That plays out well for a lot of people, because if a customer that comes to your site say with cams.com and they are "owned" by someone else you are NEVER getting paid of that guy, but with AWE you will if he hasn't been cookied in 14 days....
I find that some of these people buy a ton and you can tell by the pricing they are old AWE customers that I am making $700 off of...
The customer base with AWE is more sellable, but not always to you! I like it but that's me...Comment

I've been doing this for 8 years and I don't have a clue what the fuck you are saying so that leaves me to believe that what you are saying is bullshit.
So someone signs up to livejasmine through me, 15 days later the same person logs back into his account to load more cam time, i don't get credit because i had a 14 day cookie? But you are saying it is not AWE's either so who gets credit for the sale? no one??? so AWE makes all the money instead of paying an affiliate. Once the person is signed up and his credit card is on file you are not going to " sell him again". He will stay on file with that card till the card expires and he will likely replace it with a new card. Its not like people with existing accounts sign up to new accounts over and over agian.
your example of cams.com is bullshit. If someone is already signed up to cams.com through me and they happen across your site and see cams.com they are not going to signup again you retarded fuck, they already have an account.
This " after14 days it is fair game" logic if fucking bullshit. you have to totally fucking retarded to believe this shit. the only way it would be " fair game" is if after 14 days AWE cancelled their account, kicked them back into cyber space and told them to find their way back through someone else's advertisement.
next time, before you post something so fucking stupid please shoot yourself first, i don't think anyone here is dumb enough to buy it, and that is saying a lot considering the intelligence level around here.Last edited by will76; 12-04-2007, 10:47 PM.ICQ: 86364801 Email: will [at] innovativeassets [dot] com

lets take this a step further.
Say I advertise the site to a surfer and he doesn't signup to livejasmine right away. I linked him to livejasmine through my site. My cookie is set, his wife comes home he can't signup. 15 days later he remembers the name of the site, he types in livejasmine.com and he signs up. I don't get credit right ? Say that person drops $1000 I get $0. How much does live jasmine make ?
Even that way its bullshit. There is no need to expire cookies. *IF* the surfer is not signed up yet, I agree he is fair game. If i can't sell him, but my cookie is on his pc, and then 2 months later he sees your add, and you sell him, you should get credit for the sale. You sold him. But that has nothing to do with 14 day cookies. The way cookies work, the new cookie will overwrite the old cookie. It doesn't matter if the old cookie is 14 days or 14 hours old. The new cookie replaces the old one. So there is no need to expire cookies. THE ONLY reason to expire cookies is for the website to make sales without paying affiliates.
I would never promote a company like this for pps or revshare it is total bullshit. There is no way one cam site is going to make you more off of a % deal in 14 days then another cam site will make you off of a % deal over years. That is bullshit. you people making the comparison aren't taking the long term sales into account. you are screwing yourself on thousands of sales that come weeks/months/years later that you haven't factored in.ICQ: 86364801 Email: will [at] innovativeassets [dot] com

In a nutshell... This basically spells it out for all of the rookies...There is no need to expire cookies. *IF* the surfer is not signed up yet, I agree he is fair game. If i can't sell him, but my cookie is on his pc, and then 2 months later he sees your add, and you sell him, you should get credit for the sale. You sold him. with the awe program you can sell existing members. Say an existing whale member is surfing and passes through your site you can Resell him even if he is a member as long as he picks up your cookie before he makes his next purchase.Comment
