I had a hard time working alone, once I had a German guy to talk with over ICQ but he didn't know anything, he was also starting out made so much mistakes, eventually we lost each other and my only guideline was gfy, some times some other forums but mostly gfy!
Many posts in this thread today, but I'll bookmark it and go thru every post later and contact some of your I find interesting to work with.
