ok, i read the tut, made a page, installed ct & ATL, and i'm almost ready to go.
is there something still missing? i'm buying a couple of K traffic for testing, if all goes well i'll increase the amount.
this is my first TGP, i've done some gallery submitting & weblogs before.
so i'll let you know wheter or not it worked out for me ;)

Use a lots of ya time,to experiment with ya traffic script,what ya amigo does,will maybe not suit ya site.
Play-experiment-find ya traffic,find ya sponsor who convert,and get drunk and be happy.....

I haven't "made it" yet, but www.teentropic.com was born because of this thread and it is also the reason why i decided to give it a shot.
The hardest part is getting good trades going and keeping them productive. I have no intentions to give up, so i guess i will eventually learn on my own how to run trades and the other aspects of a TGP.
The site is a little over a month old and it only has around 1.5k visits a day, but the prod is around 300%. The thumbs are still being worked on.

Wish i would have found this earlyer! I just finished setting up comus and TTT when i found this thread. Basicly i did how you advised it, exept i set 2 sites up on a shared hosting account..
Didnt buy any traffic yet, was just about to when i read this post.. Should i move my 2 TGP's to a dedi, or do you think its a good way to try and see how this goes, and move to a dedi if everything goes well?
I never really beleived in skimming TGP's, as i would never bookmark one myself, but i know there are many out there that do well, so im going to do a little test.. Im setting up 2 exactly the same sites ( one.COM and one .NET site) on the .NET site all clicks will go to galleries, while on the .COM there will be skimming..
I expect the .COM site to grow a lot faster, since more traffic will go to trades, and i can expect more in return.
The .NET site will be a lot harder to grow, but will have more quality traffic ( i expect/hope )
Im really curios to see wich site will be more profitable..
Why i dont like skimming:
Compare it with an afternoon shopping in a mall.. You walk infront of a store witch doesnt even interest you, someone is standing before the door and beats you in there BANG BANG, once your in BANG, the personell beats you again to pick something you didnt want in the first place... should i continue?

Read your example again and then think about trading+skimming before you type out a response and think for a second. If you figured it out good. If you didn't proceed to type out your response.

Now for my question...what's the minimum server requirements needed to run a thumb TGP or thumb MGP using sponsor hosted (or FHGs, whichever you want to call them) and/or partner submitted galleries (either way the links are hosted off my server)?
LelaHosting has some great virtual hosting deals and so does HighCountryHosting ...but i'm not sure of what i'm going to need as far bandwidth transfer...20 gigs too low?
I'm thinking somewhere between 50 -100 gigs?
75% is going to be sponsor hosted galleries and 25% partner submits.
I also want to have one using 100% sponsor hosted galls.
I'm leaning towards HCH because they'll install Comus and TTT for me...thus saving me the trouble of that hurdle.
so to summarize, i just need to know:
What's the minimum server requirements (disc space, bandwidth transfer amount, speed and etc.) needed for a TGP or an MGP just starting up?
I have no idea where to start as far as paid hosting needs...i've been using freehosts since day one and i'd rather be on a more reliable server and paid is definetly better supported than a free one.
My apologies if i'm rambling.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

1. Some scripts are cpu hungry. Using two of them on a machine with a few dozen accounts just slows everything down.
2. I know for a fact that some people put 30+ virtual accounts on a Pentium 4 machine.
3. Alot of virtual accounts can't handle the traffic. Either because the machine is too overcrowded. Or because the bandwidth gets congested Picture this 50 people are directed to your site but only 25 of them have a satisfactory load rate.
Now if something like this were to be happening there would be a domino effect. For example your trades sending you the right amount of traffic but the traffic is not getting to you. Therefore you X the trade for being bad.
4. Some of the popular scripts need shell access and other server priveleges. They usually won't give you that access because of security reasons.
