A VERY good point!

While I've been in the industry a good 10 years easily in some capacity. I have only been doing it full time for 2-3 years now. While I make a lot more than I did working in telco, it's not so much about the money as it is the freedom.

After 8 years in corporate America... you could not pay me enough to go back into that rat race.

However, I enjoy my work. So the vast majority of the time, I lose track of time, and day's blow by. Unlike working for someone else where I watched the clock, and could account for just about every day in the week, and minute in the day. Plus you would have to just about threaten to fire me to get me to work more than 8 hours a day, regardless of overtime rate, in my old occupation(s).

Now I work more than 40 hours a week easily, but as I said, it's not really 'work' in my mind.
