After CCBill what would you say the most reliable processor is? I only use CCBill so if they go out of business I will be in a tight spot. So can anyone recommend another RELIABLE processor so that maybe I can cascade and have backup?
Thank you in advance!

I think CCBill is one of the most reliable processors around. I hate people starting these kind of threads trying to spread some drama around the boards.
How ever tight you guys are he is a moron for bumping this thread.
dude, will you chill out? it is obvious to everyone why he bumped it, look at the date of the thread and if you a calculation, it is just over a year of hoopers prediction
We have been with CCBILL for 4 years and I have nothing but good to say about them. I have billed through ALL of the other major companies over the last 8 years and they have given me nothing but problems. CCBILL will be the last processor standing. I'll put money on that.

Agree Tony!
As a third party processor CCBill have done exactly what they offer and have never failed yet.
The underlying problem, if any, may not be to do with CCBill specifically, but apply to all TTP's in that there is no security of funds.
I hate to even mention em now - but some proposal via iBill and, in their instance, alledgedly using a "third party escrow agent" and segpay.com does have some validity and is a step towards providing security of funds.
And webby -- a third party escrow solution for a third party processor is not only bullshit, it's not needed. Either you trust your processor or you don't process with them imo.

If you want your own merchant account, you can use Netbilling. It costs alot however for adult accounts. http://www.netbilling.com
The other option is Verotel Pro (they are a third party billing company like CCBill, but based in the Netherlands). It costs $1500 for setup and I think the proccessing fee is 14% per transaction plus 10% hold back (in case of charge backs or fraud) - you get the 10% back 6 months later. Their site is http://www.verotel.com
Hooper's got a point actually, because more and more sponsors are switching to their own merchant accounts so declining sales will make it hard for Epoch and CCBill to maintain required CB percentages.

Inthestars,
Thanks for the props. CCbill is a great company and I'm sure they are not going anywhere.

Oh dear, they decline some sales to maintain the required CB percentages. Would there be any logic in the opposite?

Not needed your fucking kidding right ? lol I know you make money from these people and i respect you but please dont be so transparent. If you want to open a casino you have to so much money in escrow to cover loses, why is it bullshit for a third party processor? Someone we trust with our money that could be here today gone tomorrow not to have funds in escrow?

Where does a business decision to use a TTP rely on trust?? Is that they way your business is run? On trust??? If so, it would be wise to not tell your Banker this.
Clients of any third party processor don't "know" them, nevermind have any basis on which to trust them. Do you trust banks because they run friendly ads on TV?
Even banks are covered by indemnities to a degree, yet you expect webmasters to just sign on a website page and, in effect, pass ownership of billing/rebilling to a TTP and just live hope of the TTP company paying them??
We have watched a number of TTP's hit the grave owing webmasters money. How long do you expect this track record to continue and be tolerated?
It takes little logic to see know that *any* third party processing company can come and go tomorrow - they may be on the top of the pack one day, - the only direction after that is downwards and just a matter of when.
Of course there is a need for security of funds within the TTP model. Whether this is an escrow solution, insurance or some other mechanism. A few TTP's, mainly within the EU have now already implemented measures to ensure client funds in the event of their demise.
It would be nice to see this issue addressed, and not avoided, by the majority of processors. This particularly applies to processors within the US where laws are clearly non-existant to protect clients of TPP's and similar companies acting in a financial capacity, (almost as bank agents) and having no security in place - it's too absurd.
After a number of "dead parrotts" in the third party processing biz, it becomes boring chasing them, writing off their debts and burying the carcasses.
Trust is not even on the table as a topic for discussion.
Accusations without supporting facts is also known as.. BS.
Who cares if someone had some coke or pepsi or got drunk or got laid? Isn't that a little hypocritical to be saying such things, especially in this industry?

CCbill seems pretty reliable to me.
Not sure what your post is referring to DH, but if is in response to above - I'm not making accusations - just responding to kk on the lack of security of funds.
And yea... agree CCBill seems pretty reliable, tho that topics applies to them as well.
