What to link to: sponsor site or full size pic? - GoFuckYourself.com

When I post some thumbnail pics on my blog, which is better: have these link directly to the sponsors tour or FHG, or have it link to the full size version of the pic that surfers can download? In either case I would still include a text link within the post that goes to the sponsor.

Conventional wisdom would say to link to the sponsor so you have a better chance of making a sale, but I've been hearing that redirects like this just piss off web surfers. Letting them grab the full size version of the pic will make them like your blog more, probably bookmarking it and coming back again, which eventually could result in a sale.

What do you think?

Redirects generally tend to annoy people. Give them what they came for, and hopefully they'll like what they see and spring for a membership.

Link to the full pic. If they like what they see, they'll click on the sponsor link at the end of the post.

What I do is link to the full pic and link the pic to the free trial. Surfers than tent to check out the free trailer of the girl in the pic. This increases the chance on sales, but you've got to make sure the trailer of the firl on the pic is in the free trial.
