how to transfer domainname godaddy-godaddy

Hi,

how can you transfer a domainname within godaddy?
i and the current registrar are both at godaddy's.
i read somewhere you can jump it for free?

link : help.godaddy.com/article.php?article_id=822&topic_id=160 : Changing the Registrant Account for a Domain Name. (sorry can't post url's yet)
Is this the right way to go? ( i see it can allso take 10 days that way)

Would appriciate help on this, never had someone to transfer his domainname to me on that way...

Thanks

It doesn't take 10 days, it is instant. All you do is:
1) Go to "domains" and click on "My Domain Names"
2) Click in the tick box for the domain you want to transfer
3) Click on "account change"
4) Type in the new registrants details (they can be made up, AS LONG AS THE EMAIL ADDRESS IS CORRECT)
5) Click continue
Now the other person needs to:
6) go to "My Account"
7) click on "pending account changes"
8) in the top right corner click on "accept account change"

Then you are done! (Just remember the new owner needs to put in their correct contact info if the other person made it up to fill in the boxes)

Good Luck....you can hit me up on ICQ if you get stuck

If I paid for domain private registration, should I remove it before transfering?

Why would you, i don't know if you will get any credits for it, but you might tell the buyer that you offer it.
