help, i want to change a babelogger site to another script (WP)
I have a site using babelogger, but it ultimately fucks up the database because the traffic ratio script it is using cannot handle alot of traffic. Yesterday it fucked up again so now i want to get rid of babelogger and install WP on it... here is the problem though:
How do i keep all the pages made with the babelogger script in tact when i switch scripts. I experienced one time already that i was in the google top 5 for a huge keyword, then i switched scripts and i never ranked for the keyword with that site ever again, because it couldn't find the old pages anymore. I do not want it to happen with this site because one again i am ranking pretty good in the SE's (about 100k SE hits a month) and i dont want to lose this because of changing scripts... so i must at least keep the babelogger script in tact for all the pages to keep on existing. So i think i need to install WP side to side to the babelogger script, that seems to be the most logical option right? |

you could setup 301 redirects, or you could make the same url scheme than your babelogger setup, would have to go through each post and import them with the exact.

yea, its a hell of a job. I think i will just install wp side to side in the extent that its possible... and 301 redirect the most important pages. Thanks fris
