so im asking dumb questions..
why is a .ca domain name more expensive than a .com like, who wants to use a .ca? (irony) post up ur replies to shut me up

The country that owns the TLD sets the price on the dot whatever. Look up what the dot TV domains can cost.
 Look at http://www.ICANN.org . They have a listing someplace for all of the countries-TLDs.
