Started to re-watch Band of Brothers last night

My husband had never seen it and I decided that wasn't allowed. So, I picked up the box set pretty cheaply on Amazon. It arrived yesterday and we started in on watching it. I really forgot just how good that show was. So, good.

I have seen it three times and have the box set as well.
I forced my teen son to watch it with me.
well actually I only had to force him to watch the first one then he became pretty interested.

Iwatched it last month and loved it. Very powerful. Makes me wonder how all these keyboard warriors would suck at real war. These men had honour and courage.

If propaganda then it is American and British as it is a BBC co-production.

Great series but I had a hard time watching David Schwimmer act as a tough guy after watching him on TV for so many years.

I would/do watch and appreciate any other war related films, especially those of this quality.

They didn't take too many liberties making BoB. The people, places and scenarios were real.

Hell, they were so focused on quality, the button holes on the uniforms had the exact stitchcount as the originals.

Great show based on the book by Stephen Ambrose. Ambrose was great at focusing on a small group in the middle of a larger event.

If you enjoyed the series the book will fill in some gaps for you. There's also a good follow up book by Dick Winters himself, Beyond the Band of Brothers.

The mini series on DVD was also one of the first TV -> DVDs box sets to sell well and opened up a whole new market for TV on DVD.
