MSIE Javascript Help Needed
I'm sure you guys have been getting those annoying ads that appear on your browser right when you enter a site like cbs.marketwatch.com and other sites. These are call advertising avatars. I'd like to know what are settings in MS IE to turn off these annoying javascript ads.
Thanks in advance, Jeff

Internet Explorer 5.X and 6.X:
1. Click on the "Tools" menu 2. Select "Internet Options..." 3. Click on the "Security" tab 4. For 5.X click "Custom" and click on the "Settings..." button. For 6.X click on the "Custom Levels" button 5. Scroll down to the 'Scripting' section. 6. To disable: make sure "Disable" is selected under the "Active scripting" section. |

It'd be nice if some of these settings could be automatically applied on a per-site basis like cookies. I have some sites where javascript is very useful, so disabling completely is out... and getting prompted every time sucks ass.
Any expansions/alternatives to the above? ![]() |
