I have a comcast HD DVR that's Motorola / Scientific Atlanta branded. Uses the same remote control that the non-DVR HD receiver picks up. Not bad. I can record two shows at once. By the way, always haggle with Comcast to get a discount when you sign up and insist on a 12 month instead of a 6 month offer. Never pay full price if you can help it.

Missed this post. Can you pull movies off the dvr and view them on comp? If so what format are they when they come off. I have a few shows I record the ful seasons from, and would like to watch those in my office since I have s video out from my main computer to the tv in my office. Would be handy to pull everything off the dvr so I can delete those and free up space.

i have the motorola box as well. it's not bad. sometimes series record will record the wrong shows, but that is more the fault of how the networks label them than the box.

i'm not that impressed with their hd service though. the selection is a little lacking, but oh well. what are you going to do?

over all i am pretty happy with it though. a dvr is the best thing entertainment wise i have ever gotten besides my HD tv. it's alot nicer to be able to ffwd through commercials and watch things when i want to.

i found a couple tutorials on google of how to record live tv through the box, but so far haven't been able to figure out how to get shows i have already recorded.
