Wide angle lens question .8x vs .45x? Fx1
I have an FX1 with this wide angle lens = http://cgi.ebay.com/72MM-LENS-KIT-FO...QQcmdZViewItem
I am looking to go even wider. As wide as possible actually. Is .8x wider than .45x magnification? Would buying the Sony lens be a good investment or should I do with what I have now. Also would it be a better picture? http://cgi.ebay.com/72MM-LENS-KIT-FO...QQcmdZViewItem Another thing, would any 72mm video lens fit the FX1 or do the lenses have to be made specifically for it? Thanks in advance |

but too wide is fisheye then you have the fisheye look I thinka fisheye is a x3
I use a x7 and a x6 sometimes... a 6 will show a little bit of black around the edges

all depends on what your shooting... pov stuff I find a x7 or x6 works fine when you get lower than that if a low quality lens you start to see the black ring around the outside but try em both out see what you like... I got piles of lens lying around here from trial and error

i sell, well the sony one is about $400 and the one i have came with the cam (prob about $80 on it's own), the sony is a 8x where as this is a .45x supposedly. I see a small ring but can get rid of it in editing. I am looking to get as wide as possible so my arms arn't touching the ceiling during pov. Would any 72mm lens work or does it have to be sony and specific for the fx1?
