Laptop & soundcard / speaker help??
Hey guys
I recentley purchased an HP Pavilion dv9060us entertainment notebook pc. I have a seperate logitec speaker system with 5.1 surround sound, it's own reciever, and sub (all logitech). On the laptop there is a port for spdif which i assume is for sound for those speakers as it is working now. My question is, is there any external hardware that i should be running on my laptop to use the spdif device? for my sound? i am running windows vista as well, and it shows as it is relying on the computers speakers even though it is using the logitech that is hooked up. however there is a icon for a high def. audio device, i would assume like a speaker system like i have, but it says nothing is plugged in the spdif port. anybody know answers to these questions? i basically switched to a desktop, i have an awesome powerful speaker system and laptop, and i want the speaker system to work to its full potential with the laptop and quality of it. help??? thanks |
