ICQ or no?

I haven't put icq on my machines for a few years because I felt like it was just one more distraction. Granted it does help business as far as having that instant connection which everyone craves these days. Anyways I am toying with using it again in the hopes of networking more and getting business done quicker and more efficiently. It is one tool which has passed the test of time.

So what do you think? How important is icq to your business? How much would it affect your business without using it?

Thanks.

Re

Me using Icq, Yahoo, M$N and Skype. However "old school" webmasters prefer ICQ in their communications, so everybody in that as well...Handfull and easy way to hit on ppl, ask questions, communicate with affiliates etc. Use it..

for the 5 mins it takes to setup its worth having icq.. but i do agree having too many different pieces of software running can cause havoc!

icq is still worth it, most people who got into the game way back still use icq as their main communication tool, so in that sense it is vital for networking...plus if you use something like trillian you can be connected to all the major messaging services at once..

Yeah, thanks guys after reading these posts I agree it is an important tool for our biz.

I finally cracked (remembered) the password from an old ICQ account. Gonna start using it again...

I couldn't function without my ICQ.

Unfortunately, I have about 90% of the internets on my buddy list, which makes things a little ridiculous sometimes.

You breeders need to find someone else to have cybersex with and leave Teh BoyAlley the hell alone.....
