This shit is miraculous. Dude had a car accident years ago. Car went 50ft over a stone bridge. Brain damage, vegetable for 20 years. His parents never gave up. The talked and touched him and did everything to bring him around. Then the other day he responded. Scientists say his brain rerouted and regrew new pathways! Here all this time the experts thought he was veggiesaurus and he turns out to be able to regain some semblance of his personality. I wonder if they shot him up with stem cells would his brain tissue fully grow back. |

If this guy can reach a state of communication he's got some story to tell. He writes a book he'll make some great dough. Actually the parents' story is worthy of accolade. How many of you would have stuck it through? How many of you have loved ones that would stick it through for you?

According to the story he has amnesia of the past 19 years but recalls his life prior to his accident. What science has to look at is why it took so long for the nerves to regrow new pathways when they should have done so faster. Perhaps in future cases stem cells can be introduced to the damaged nerve network to speed and repair the process.
