I have something coming up.. I will be throwing a small house warming party for a good friend of mine next weekend. It will be all females, we all love chocolate so if you could include chocolate in the dessert that would be awesome. There will be about 10-12 guests I would guess. I would like to serve appetizers, dinner, and dessert. Nothing hard to make but I would at least like it to seem like I put some effort into preparing the meal. Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Not sure what he will suggest but I would suggest items that all could be made in advance and either just served or heated and served.

Sucks cooking while everyone else is doing other stuff.

Yeah that's true. We normally grill and that is a pain in the ass. Also, trying to prepare food when you're semi tipsy is no good either.

hrmmm for the chocolate i have a great idea, I just seen in the mall the other day a fondue fountain, that cuts out the preparation time concern i see in this thread, all you would have to do is pick up a fondue fountain from most an home appliance store...

and as far as i know, all girls like strawberries and chocolate

as I referred to another in a previous thread....chicken picatta is quick and easy to prepare, liked by most....or the chicken parmesan .....liked by more.....

Out of 10 or 12 females im sure red meat will not mix with all,.....so chicken is good....if thats a good idea, contact me or post here for more preparation methods....

Ranchy red potatoes goes well with both.....

Interested???

Oh yeah that sounds really good. I have been wanting to get a fondue fountain for some time now. I love chicken parmesan, but what's in the chicken picatta?

Picata is typically a sauce with lemon, butter, and spices. Often capers.

Hehe and I was thinking since it is a house warming party and all girls you should go retro and throw a full on fondue party.

cheese fondue ( i dont recommend a fountain for this fondue) ...its quikc and easy and you can all "chat" while eating breadsticks,....also throw in a jalapeno/artichoke heart dip .... may sound weird but its god awful good....

I am real fond of assorted musk mellon cubes or balls wraped in prosciutto and a standard crudite tray with dip or one with fruits and cheeses.

I could use a new chicken breast dish that is not piccata or parmesan. Fiance does not care for the lemony taste in foods and well I already got the others down well. Need something new. Oh preferably that uses boneless/skinless breasts.
