Music to Smoke Pot to

I used to belong to the school of thought that the best pot / hash music was reggae or at least Grateful Dead circa 1972

Now that I'm a bit older, I prefer to smoke the Buddhadoojie listening to Tony Bennet, Frank Sinatra [live in Paris sessions], and Charles Aznevour.

Share your musical tastes while self-medicated with the almighty ganja

Which DJs you listen to, Kman? I listen to DJ Hardware from time to time, also, can't go wrong with Goldy.

It really depends on the mood.

Tonight has been all about industrial techno. VNV Nation, Velvet Acid Christ, Fucker Vogt, :wumpscut:

Sometimes I like a good skacore when I am stoned.

Mr. Bungle/Tomahawk/Fantomas/Secret Chiefs 3/Lovage. Also The Melvins, some Ministry, John Zorn, Medeski Martin & Wood, Aphex Twin, DJ Spooky, DJ Krush, Portishead, Pigface, Deltron 3030, Kid 606, Don Caballero, Dillinger Escape Plan.

I guarantee you there's a band in this list for everybody... even the non-weed smokers (though it's all best with some herb).

I mention that I listen to good music, rather than mainstream corporate-watered-down-junk music, and my status as an earthling is questioned?

How could anybody NOT like any of the bands I mentioned? It's beyond comprehension to me. They're all musical geniuses.

"Rufus Xavier Sarsaparilla"

Now I have a friend named Rufus Xavier Sarsaparilla
and I could say that Rufus found a kangaroo
That followed Rufus home
And now that kangaroo belongs
To Rufus Xavier Sarsaparilla ...
Whew! I could say that, but I don't have to
Because I have pronouns I can say,
He found a kangaroo that followed him home
And now it is his
You see, he, him and his are pronouns
Replacing the noun Rufus Xavier Sarsaparilla,
A very proper noun,
And it is a pronoun replacing the noun kangaroo.
Now comma,

Now Rufus has a sister named Rafaella Gabriela Sarsaparilla
If she found a kangaroo I'd say to you
She found a kangaroo that followed her home
and now it is hers but I can't say that
Because she found an aardvark
That fell in love with her and they're so happy.

Sleepy,

My favorite schoolhouse rock song is "Three is the Magic Number" Its so good that it got sampled by De La Soul in their CD "3 Feet High and Rising" and got remade by Blind Melon right before their lead singer died.

While I like the rap sample and the remake, I think the original is still the best. Very catchy chords.

Yeah, some of those songs are really trippy and the political songs are like some type of freaky ass brainwashing. I downloaded them the other day and couldnt get them out of my head for a week. I would wake up hearing "three is a magic number" for gods sakes.
