				Mac Question Please Help

So im helping out my roommate and she needs this paper sent over to a friend to print out BUT her friends computer is a MAC. She had MSWord but it was a trial and the thing expired. So I went and found that AbiWord (a free spreadsheet progream) is also available for download on mac.

The file is a .DMG Does she need any kind of extraction thing or will she just be able to open it? My concern is i need to tell her if she needs to extract it with something. |

pretty much all macs have a program called stuffit expander on them, i think it comes with them the free version at least and it will open dmg's. if she has appleworks on her computer already it will open ms files for office word and whatever else and even save them in the same or new format.

dmg is standard on System OS X

If she's running OS X she should be able to open dmg files....also, she probably has Apple Works & Text Editor...both those usually open Word programs...or just save it at as PDF!
