I grew up watching super man (a differnt actor of course) . I am sadened by the event, even if he was "just" an actor. Actually he was more than that. He gave people hope.

Actually, he's done a lot in the way of getting spinal chord research some attention. Without celebs like him spiriting the cause, they often fall by the wayside when it comes to funding.

I grew up watching George Reeves too as the original superman.. that was Christopher's father .. they say he commited suicide, but others say he was murdered. I really liked that guy.

My husband met Christopher Reeves at Killington Ski resort a long time ago, before his accident.. he was sitting at a bar alone, so he sat down and started talking to him, then asked him for his autograph. Christopher said no very rudely.. that he didn't give out autographs, then turned around and ignored him..

He probably was tired of being recognized.. who knows
