In fact, according to his 2003 financial disclosure form, Bush does own part interest in "LSTF, LLC", a limited-liability company organized "for the purpose of the production of trees for commercial sales."'

you could tell he was floundering then.

i've noticed that he does well speaking when he has good crowd participation. in these debates with people not being allowed to react he seems to break his composure, and try to fish for laughs to energize himself.

The Lone Star Trust now owns 50% of the tree-growing company, but didn't get into that business until two years after the $84 in question. So we should have described the $84 as coming from an "oil and gas" business in 2001, and will amend that in our earlier article.

I'd assume monsieur Bush is a very wealthy man, and does not manage his own assets. My uncle has people managing his money and he probably has no clue of all the shit he's involved in.

That means the $84 didn't come from the tree growing business, however, what it does not mean is that he doesn't have the tree growing business.

Being in politics, Bush is an idiot if he doesn't keep a close eye on what businesses he's involved in. Being involved in the wrong things could easily end his career.

I would agree if he did not have die hard political following or he was running for office for the first time. The man just had to admit he marched into war on bad intelligence and people still support him. Do you think that him being involved in a company because he hired people to do investing for him would cause those people to leave him? Bush supporters have tuned out anything that is anti-bush in the media, it does not matter at this point.

Now is the man an investor or an owner? What is the official word on this after everything is verified. If he holds stock then one could ssafely say he does not "own". Either way I think his comments were kinda humorous

His trust owns 50% of the LLC.

Do you see many other people saying they would vote for him? Have you really heard of the nation being this divided on something since the civil war? How many Pro Kerry people are that way because they are actually Anti- Bush? Also remember the votes of the people are not calculated and compared to elect a president. All you have to do is have enough die hard fans in the right areas to win.

50% of an LLC and you get $84.00 bucks hunh. I would not claim I owned it either.

Thanks for the numbers though, not really able to research much stuff at the moment.

I do not like the guy but I stand by the thought that this is a small holding. Bush is a wealthy man and this is not genrating much income.

It is indeed a relatively small holding (I say relatively because a $100k asset isn't tiny if you look at his total assets), and it isn't generating any income right now: "no commercial sales are expected until 2007".

That doesn't take away from the fact that he does indeed own a timber company.
