Winter Is Almost Here

Well at least that's the reality here in Canada.

And when you live in the prairies you get 90+ degrees temps in the summer (for all of 3 months) and then -40 degree temps in the winter for the rest of the year.

And i don't have anything warm that makes me feel cozy inside and tells people to go fuck themselves on the outside.

So Lensman, if i didn't win a hat on the last thread, do you think you might indulge my need for warmth with one of your super cool long sleeve shirts?

Hell, come up for a visit and deliver the shirt yourself. We can take my sled team out to the ice fields and see if we can bag us some fish. Take it back to the igloo and have Nantukakapoo cook it up for dinner. Wash the fish down with some beer, eh - maybe catch the final showing of the northern lights.
;-)

We'll laugh, we'll cry, we'll freeze our fuckin' nuts off.

And yes it's true, we start drinking anti-freeze in September to keep our veins ice free for the winter months.

hehehe

you could see forever if that gopher would just get out of the way

but i have to tell you, it beats Calgary and Toronto by a long shot

lived in Calgary for 3 years and just didn't think the people were all that friendly and the Chinooks damn well drove me crazy

as for Toronto, lived there for 11 years and couldn't wait to get out of that over populated ant hill

but Saskatchewan has lots of space, freedom, friendly people and winter temperatures that would freeze the balls off of a polar bear

btw - Moose Jaw huh, so how did you like the Al Capone tunnels?
hehehe

I have tons of family in Sask. My Mother is from Warman ( Just N. of Saskatoon)

Evertime I go to visit it makes me happy that I do live in an overpopulated ant hill.

Different strokes for different folks.

I can get to the middle of nowhere in a 2hr drive from here.

From where you are to any decent city takes a whole lot longer.

Anyone ever been to Findlater Sask? Now THAT'S the ass-hole of Canada. (or is that Jaques Parizeau?)

Some strange little towns in Saska-bush, let me tell you.

I'll get my smart remarks in here. Saskatchewan, the only place a dog has to carry around his own stick so he has something to pee on.

Actually, I once took a wrong turn in Saskabush, I wanted to go northwest to Saskatoon from Regina, but I got on the wrong highway going straight north....

Best move I ever made. The scenery was fantastic in the north-Q'uapelle valley, rolling hills, gorgeous valleys, incredible views. I've never forgotten that little side-trip up the center of saskabush. Unreal.

Plus, I took 10 trips to Saskatoon, got laid on 9 of em. Dem Sask babes are incredible too, so friendly and....affectionate.

hehehe

true so true CD

i'm really not knocking other places

loved alberta for the rockies and Waterton area

loved toronto when i was working in the art department for movies and for live theatre and the lingering smell of urine
hehehe

bc has a ton to offer and would live in Tofino in a second

was born and raised in london, ontario and although conservative, was a great place to grow up

will never get Algonquin Park or Lake Superior out of my blood (it lives in me)

love the countryside and the wild city life in Quebec

think the people in the east (Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, PEI, New Brunswick) are more accomodating than my own family and i can't get enough of the ocean (Shediac rocks)

never been to NWT, Yukon, Nunavut or Manitoba (hey CD - might have to drop in some time and say hi)

but even after saying all this, i still need that warm, cozy "go fuck yourself" shirt to keep my nipples from getting all stiff in the winter months

so to all you canadian webmasters...drop in and say hi

tell us where you are from and what you like the best about your province

i think everyone from all over the world should let us all know what you think is the most beautiful location in your country

hell, it will save me having to read all those travel brochures

I'm from Victoria BC, and I guess we have a reputation as being really laid back - probably that BC pot LOL...I wouldn't know about that though.

Well I haven't travelled much in Canada, so I can't really compare, but I think I'll be going for a little trip to Toronto soon.

Elvis - got Raptor's season tickets???
