Converting ARS

I'm able to send traffic to every single site they have, yet i'm 0:900. The majority of my traffic comes from SE's, Linklists, and toplists. Any suggestions on getting my ratio down to what "supposedly" everyone else gets (1:400)?

I am deeply frustrated with it all! This has been the worst yet in the past two years. I am pumping more traffic then ever and it is doing nothing. What is UP with that?

Like Ive been telling people, this market is saturated with websites and webmasters. This summer will be tough, but the ones who endure it and see it through will survive.. It will be survival of the fittest. The market is starting to meet up with the demand and even if your traffic is up, your $$ will probably be lower with every upcoming year. There are just too many places to make a porn purchase. Two years ago if a surfer surfed porn for 30 minutes, chances were one of the sites he would hit was part of one of the orginal families.

Until ashcroft forces us to move to the Netherlands and throws the US webmaster in his porn jail, its just gunna get tighter and tighter with all the people becoming adult webmasters..
Maybe we need some regulation to stop the insanity.

Im looking at houses in Mexico this summer.
I should live like a Mexican King in Mexico with the value of the dollar over the Peso!

H'mm, O:900 is not a fair test. 900 is nothing. My ratio's with ARS vary between 1:5000 and 13:3500 per week with ARS. Not big numbers at all ( many guys send 50,000+ a week ), but 900 is nothing. I also get a lot of SE, AVS and quality link list traffic, but it can suck ass too. Try and build up your numbers first before you make a decision. If you send 5,000 hits and get no signups I would worry about the sponsor or how you are sending traffic to them. A good sponsor will try and help you improve your ratio's i.e. give you feedback on your traffic and pages. Stick with ARS, they are a good sponsor, though they have their problems i.e.:
i. Intermittenly you will get slow tour loads - this happens I guess because they can get so much traffic
ii. They can be slow responding to queries from webmasters.

On the good side:
i. I live in Australia, yet I promptly get a nice cheque each week from ARS within 10 days of each pay period.
ii. They are my best converting sponsor, though I don't send more than 15% of my traffic to any sponsor.
iii. They offer a lot of free content and free hosting.

I'm happy if I can convert 1:1000 and get a cheque from that sponsor every week/fortnight or month promptly. I would strongly recommend you study basic statistics - you would quickly work out that if most sponsors convert at let say 1:600 off general traffic ( i.e. not exit traffic or blind link traffic ), then there is a 1/8 chance you will get no signups off 2400 hits/week. Over a whole year, that 12+ weeks with no cheques if you send 2400 hits per week. Some weeks though, you will cream 'em

It is theoretically possible, thought very unlikely, to get no signups over the whole year with the same traffic, say 2,400 hits/week - for the experts out there - figure it out!

One sponsor, who is well known for wearing dresses and his no-conversion click through program, canned me because I sent just 2400 hits over several months ( I was just starting out ) and had just one signup. Most of my traffic was comming from pages with dark text on a black background if those links had been clicked - that was the reason stated for me being canned. Yet I convert at about 1:300-800 for his partnership program off the modest amount of traffic I send him. Maybe some sponsors should also study basic stats - it might mean some honest webmasters with productive traffic not being canned

Oops, wrong figures - above ratios based on 1:800, not 1:600
