"vez" is part of spanish and portuguese vocabulary, it means the same in both languages.

Examples :
"once upont a time..." -> Era uma vez
in this case vez=time

"Again?" -> Outra vez?
Another time?

If basically means time/count

1 vez = once
2 vezes = twice ( vez:single / vezes: plurar )

"I got laid 2 times 2 day" --> " Já fodi 2 vezes hoje"
