How do you like your Ramen?
$.12 a pack, u can't go wrong.
I like the Spicy Picante flavor best. But chicken is classic. I like to put Cayenne pepper or crab boil in mine and sometimes when I'm feeling a little crazy I'll throw in a handful of frozen veggies. |

Toss an egg into it, in the last 50-60 seconds or so.
Also, chop up some green onions, and/or chicken nuggets which have been cut into strips. Fine dining on a budget. : ) |

All those chinese noodle things are vile. Might as well have some tasty styrofoam.

Been there myself. : ) It's cheap, filling, and tasty.
Anywho, on the green onion thing, get a bunch, cut it up, and put it in a container in the freezer. My roommates girlfriend showed us this trick, and we both jumped up and down. No more having to go shopping every 3-4 days for green onions! *laughs* Soba and Udon are more expensive normally, but shouldn't be more than a buck or so at a local asian food market. Tasty alternatives. |

Whatever you do, you must put a teaspoon of A1 steak sauce in the mix! Anything less would be uncivilized

Mix together a little peanut butter and soy sauce and put it on them. It's surprisingly good!
They're also really good if you add some butter to them when you add the seasoning. Ground beef and barbecue sauce is pretty tasty in ramen. Tuna and Cheese Whiz makes a good combination if you're a tuna fan, and it's pretty cheap. |

A few more that I personally enjoy:
Ham and shredded swiss cheese. Chili and shredded cheddar and topped with diced red onion. Sauteed onions and green and red peppers (fajita style). Diced fresh tomatoes and lots of butter. Corn, black beans and diced canned green chiles (southwestern style). Spaghetti sauce, shreddded mozzarella and chopped pepperoni (italian style). And one of my very favorites, cook them in cream of tomato soup (made with milk, not water) instead of water and save the seasoning packet. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and/or sour cream. When you make recipes that don't require a seasoning packet, save them. They taste GREAT on popcorn. I ran the cooking sig (special interest goup) on a big local BBS when I was younger and we had a huge discussion about things to do to ramen. I cooked nothing but ramen for like a month coming up with new combos to post to that thread. LOL |

Top ramen is disgusting, but there's some other brands of Ramen at the asian store that are ok. The ones that are $1 and come in a bowl, not a package are pretty good and really really spicy, I think they are from some Korean brand . Sometimes I used to like to just boil Ramen a tiny bit with a little water, and than stir fry it with oil, oyster sauce, shrimp, squid veggies, and a little bit of the seasoning package, that's yummy. I also think Udon are better than that nasty Top Ramen brand, it makes me nauseous.
