Good Image Viewer/Manager Software

What do you use or recommend as a good image viewer/image manager software program? I have been an ACDSee user for years, but their latest version is causing some problems. I know TUCOWS and other sites have tons of image programs to choose from, so I'm looking for your feedback to help me select the best one.

Thanks!!

ACDSee has always had bugs - I've been using it since ver 2.5.
I'm now with 6, and it's still the best for me - taking the bugs as a necessary evil. (Fact - most of the bugs in the previous versions are cleared, though new ones arise...)

Version 6 seems like the worst so far - I have a fast XP machine, and with it installed (not even open), it causes system pauses every few seconds. Uninstall ACDSee, problem gone.

True, but it doesn't have all the features that I need.

I use Compupic Pro. It is great as image viewer and works good as quick editor.

If you don't need the new features, go with Acdsee classic

Check out http://www.irfanview.com been using it for years and more features constantly added. I like the space-bar-thru method myself but it has the thumb gallery view as well (and a hundred other features.) Plus it's small and it's free.
