50 cent cigarette and the Goverment
Just purchased a pack of cigarettes at a local grocery store in NY: $6 bucks.
I was at a club last weekend and they wanted $10.00 a pack! Now, in 2003 BIG tobacco settled for over 900 Million in lawsuits. How is it then, that philip Morris gained .179 in the same year? Does GOVERNMENT tax ring a bell? I smoke, (about a pack a week) so I am not an advocate against smoking, but there is something terribly wrong here. AND what the fuck does Firearms and beer have to do with tobacco anyway?!!  |
