What's up with sponsors?
Some of them pay for banner spots on boards like this. Others take the time to spam their sites in posts. But at least half of the sponsors who do one or both these things don't bother to send emails to existing affiliates when they put new sites up. And I guess there must be quite a few who post a note in their webmaster area and leave it at that...
It's the same with hosted galleries. I pick up the URLs of hundreds of new galleries every week from a listing service. If I left it to the sponsors to let me know they had new galleries, I doubt I would be aware of even a quarter. It seems ass backwards to be putting so much money and effort into sites, promo materials etc., and then not bothering to make sure everyone knows about it. |
