Ok, I have a problem, and a friend of mine thought it would be best to go public about it.

My last employer has 2 items which are mine which I was promised to be sent out to me. A laptop, which was in exchange for a paycheck, as well as an X Box which was sent to him by mistake. Anyways, I dont have it in a contract saying I am owed this, though I have chat logs as well as a 3rd party witness who acknowledges this to be true. What do I do?

If you were working on the books legitmately and the employer refuses to send you the laptop in exchange for your paycheck, file for back wages. If you file for back wages in NY that shit is taken of quick and quite seriously, might be the same in your city. As for the XBox maybe a little more clarification as to why it ended up at your employer instead of somewhere else?
