I wonder the same thing. Damn stupid apps sure did a number to the Internet though. Feels like a ghost town sometimes. Trying to get users to leave their safety bubble (err app) to go to a website seems to be getting more challenging. Honestly, I don't see the big advantage. Push notifications, and perhaps a millisecond quicker. All sites don't need an app, but unfortunately customers seem to think so.
