Google sends so much traffic, I'm not smart enough to keep my sites working.

I want to give up. All of my code is breaking. I'm not smart enough for this.

Its real, I've been moving around hosting a lot, they don't know what they're doing anymore than I do. It's hundreds of hits per second, someone who actually knows what they're doing needs to step in.

If your searches are causing the load, change it to use sphinx or elastic.
Put cloudflare in front of the site if you haven't already. Enable opcache in your php.
Set noatime and nodiratime on the filesystem.

I have 0 traffic and i almost became a maniac always checking analytics.

I've had a similar thing happen before when a broker I was buying a large volume of paid traffic from malfunctioned and essentially ddos'd my site by accidentally sending all of the traffic at once.

Had to upgrade servers.

cloudflare(caching on) + nginx (caching on) + php-fpm (caching on) + mysql + elastic (dont use sphinx , its shit)

you have to find bottleneck and add multiple server for it or hire expert and optimize it.

lets say mysql is your bottleneck and add multiple mysql servers .,
