1984 is on

The movie 1984 is on now on BBC America (264 on DTV)

I wanted to read the book but the movie will do for not until it comes

The movie isnt quite as good as i thought so far, i guess i will have to stick with reading the book to be able to really appreciate it

Actually, the book is no great shakes, either. A fascinating concept and a good story but not all that well executed.

Seriously it's about "Big Brother " taking over the world and running it to their own ends.

You have to look at the times that Orwell lived in to undersand why it's like it is.

But consider it from the point of view of people who live in dictatorships.

I prefer reading Future Shock, but you can't really knock the 1984 novel. It's a good read, at least once.

Check out Future Shock by Alvin Toffler for those who haven't read it.
