				ATX license error

			Hi,

Need to move some old ATX driven TGP's to the new location but can't set ATX license. It returns error. Can Frank (ATX creator) fix it? How do I contact him? |

Has he abandoned the script completely?

That sucks. He made the script fully available for free but it still requires response from license server which returns error. |

It's paid one or takes a % of traffic. I can't pay $295 per script these days.

I already paid for 50 copies of ATX back in 2007-2008. Now I just need to move a dozen of old TGP's to the new location. I was 100% fine with ATX. It wasn't too smart of Frank not make changes to ATX files so that it doesn't require license server response. He made ATX free but you can't use it without license server, which is now returns error. I still hope he will fix it. |

Easy fix would be to just point aslicense . com to 173.255.233.103 in /etc/hosts like this:

173.255.233.103 aslicense . com 173.255.233.103 www . aslicense . com You should be able to connect to the license server then. I had to add the spacing because: "You are only allowed to post URLs to other sites after you have made 30 posts or more." |

The license address you have there is down, I do believe. Domain is suspended. Quote:

Domain is pending verification, but if you manually input the correct IP address in /etc/hosts, it's going to function just fine, because the server is online.

I checked it on my end to make sure, and yes, I can access it without a problem. |

Your server will try to connect to the domain on the IP address you specify in your /etc/hosts file. Hardcoding of IP addresses in /etc/hosts is a bad practice, but it's the easiest temporary fix you can make in this case. I wish you luck! |

If you try to wget www . aslicense . com/atc/dl/05/atc.zip, you can fetch the archive? If so, there must be something that we're missing here.

I just found this page www . arrowscripts . com/library.php?articleid=62 and it says you need to login to aslicense . com and change the domain name there?! |
