They haven't confirmed his death. So they aren't even sure. Or have they made reports that actually confirm this now?

I haven't heard that and I've been watching CNN all day.

They haven't said it one time either. All I've heard all day is they don't know.

CNN is the only news I've had on today - where did you hear that the Pentagon or the press had confirmed Saddam was dead?

no, the press, the pentagon, the president....no one says categorically that something has in fact happened, but why the fuck do they even say there is a strong possibility it's happened. we set expectations too high.

None of the press that I have seen stated that he was dead and certainly none of the Military spokesman have and in the case of the Military spokesman they would not even speculate about the matter.

Because their are 600+ reporters over there saying these things are happening, and all the reporters here asking the pentagon and the president the questions.

Once asked - they have to say they either know for sure - or they don't know for sure.

The only credit that has been taken is that a high value target was bombed (possibly a group meeting of high Iraqi officials). The press nor the military has provided the results.

I think we had this conversation before. I thought that when they announced we were "closing in on Osama" that we had him in custody because I couldn't believe we would announce that before we actually captured him.
