				 | RIP Merle. You had a hell of a life. He was one of the prisoners in the audience when Johnny Cash did his San Quentin prison concert. Merle was so in awe at Johnny that he decided then and there that music is what he wanted to do, if he ever got out of prison. He became so successful that Cali gov Ronald Reagan gave him a full pardon in 1972, expunging his lengthy criminal record.
