It states that a top loading site should load in under 14 seconds for a 28K modem. My question is does anyone have any idea what percentage of surfers still use 28K modems?

Between 0-5% ... because some countries still don't have cable/56kb access... not to mention if they do it still feels like they're on 28kb heh.

I'm thinking about my large table in my DB... how do most people handle that? Write out to flat files every so often and use those? Really optimized stored procs? Ir should I not even have 100K+ galleries in my DB? Any suggestions?
