Hosted gallery pic quality

I'm selecting the content for our hosted-gallery proggy. What sort of quality are owners/submitters expecting from hosted galleries thesedays ? Yea, I know, it brings up the everlasting debate, but I'm only after some opinions so I can make this shit worthwhile for our webmasters ;) Thanks.

Decent quality, but don't go throwing up 300k hires images there. Most TGPs want at least 15k per image, use 25-35k each to be safe (depends on how well each picture compresses).
