Yes another Bitcoin thread - For people who want to mine
Iv seen people asking about mining bitcoins so here is a place you can mine using your website traffic or your own computer. It also has a wordpress plugin you can use on your sites.
If you are going to mine using your own computers then you need to have Java installed http://www.bitcoinplus.com |

I tried to make bitcoin-qt work for almost 15 days and it always got stuck in 98%, then goes back to 94%, then back to 98, then back to 96, and so on.. If I cant even initialize the wallet, then what can I expect for all the rest. The web version some people here suggested me, is not safe...
I finally closed it and deleted it, makes no sense and if you dont have an ASIC, forget about mining, its too late already and a waste of time. You could make way more, building up sites and selling affiliate marketing, either in mainstream or cam white-labels in adult. Invest your time there instead. |

But I see it as this, If you have high traffic sites your users can generate bitcoins for you, or you could even copy the bitcoinplus site and launch your own. For me im now looking at lightcoins as they are easier to generate atm and if they bring out a similar script to use on websites like the bitcoin one then ill give that a go on some of my sites. I think which ever way you look at the bitcoinplus site you could make $$ from using the website script or wordpress plugin |

I'm probably not the only person who gets suspicious about a website when my computer freezes and displays "Starting Applet..." on the status bar.
CPU mining natively is only going to be a few megahashes per second at best, probably slower with Java. At current difficulty, 5MH/s running 24/7 would net you about 3 cents per day. So if you had 1440 visitors who stayed on your site for a minute each, you'd make 3 cents. Total. |

Even the OP isn't using the site he posted. That should tell you something.

We're probably going to see more of this in the near future... (possibly also with the "rogue employee" defence, that always works!)
