From the eBay listing, "Don't miss your chance to own a Lisa!"

Some hipster fanboy will get it. What's more ironic then bringing a real Lisa to Starbucks with you

They'll take about 100 bucks for it in the end.

Why would someone pay $25k for something that has less computing power than my watch?

How is that even slightly ironic? Even a teensy bit?

Because it is rare, has historical importance and is an investment. They don't make them anymore. It isn't going to go down in value.

People spend a lot of money on old computers

Using or characterized by irony.
Happening in the opposite way to what is expected, thus typically causing wry amusement.

It's ironic because its an old shitty computer but its apple product so it's appropriate to write your screen play on at Starbucks.

Funny that cos after more than 12 years in a drawer, just last sunday i found a firewire cable and charged up my old ipod v1 for the kids to play with. Worked beautifully, had all my old tracks still on it and it even synced with itunes. What i had totally forgotten was it appeared as an external HD on the mac... Dont think they do that anymore.
Anyway, it's battery is still impeccable and itll stay that way for one of the kids' kid's kids to sell on some day... At some point it'll be worth something as it's the machine that kickstarted the whole mobile era.
Or maybe it won't be.... Thats the beauty of holding onto old shit.
