Please save me again from another sleepless night lol. This time is a song from the 70s and I'll have to sing you a few bars but unfortunately I think it'll be a lot tougher than the last one.

You should get the smartphone apps (all phones most likely have it) that plays a 4-5 sec clip and then compares that snippet to a database and then gives you the info back. Has about 90-95% success rate (assuming you give it a good sample).

But calling on your buddy is a good reason to socialize in this case so go ahead.
