You can do a wordpress blog site on www.adult-website-hosting.com for $3 and it's much much faster and more stable then hostgator. Also DWHS is more flexible when most host will just shut you down for BS.

Stay away from these guys, 247-hosting.com. I only had 3 domains on their sever running wordpress and they said I overloaded the cpu. They killed my account with out even letting me know or giving me a chance to correct the problem.

Lots of shite mentioned above, just search this forum, use a crap cheap host that offers unlimited everything and before your site gets 100 uniques a day they'll shut you down for some bullshit reason thats in the TOC.

I've used naked shared hosting over 3yrs for average traffic blogs and for hosting thumbs and banners from high traffic TGP's that are hosted elsewhere, never had a problem with them and support is pretty instant.
