I've been researching and gathering info for an idea I have come up with which is a new parallel for this industry. I even bought an amazing 2 word domain that describes it completely! I want to see If I can do a joint venture with a more established company but I don't have much to invest ($2000, :/ college FTL). It's an amazing idea.
Anyways I'm going to contact some of the big boys in the game so I can use their resources and just asking for a percentage of the income. How can I guard my idea? Like I don't want to meet up with their sales rep or whoever manages that and then they supposedly take it into consideration and then I see all my shit online within weeks.
Should I record the conversation? I know alot of you guys probably have some experience with Joint Ventures or any business venture. Every single comment is greatly appreciated. Sorry for posting so many threads but you guys have straight forward answers and are the only ones that can answer these type of questions.
Like do I have to consult with a lawyer if I want to bring it forward?
What happens if they steal my idea? There is no way a college student can win vs. a multi-million dollar empire
