How many reffers until someone buys?
Hi, I launched a site like 1 month ago. I get like 100 unique visitors / day from google. I send like 10-15 unique users to twistys every day, however nobody buys anything. Any ideas (aprox) how many users you need to send so someone actually buys something? Thanks. |

				 | It will vary wildly depending on lots of factors. Quality of your traffic, what page you're sending them to, time of year, the economy, a trillion other factors, etc etc. You'll hear rates anywhere between 1:50 and 1:5000 For an approx, my Twistys conversion rate for December is 1:437. Good luck with the site |

				 | Hehe, I read that it depends alot on your niche and how deep you've specialized your website. For the more generic stuff, like yours, it takes alot more clicks to get a sale. |

				 | Hmm...yeah i thaught that general porn traffic doesnt convert as good as niche traffic. I added banners based on the category (amateur, teen, anal...), and the result is more clicks. At some point someone will buy and then i know what works for my site :-) Thanks for helping :-) |

				 | If you have Google traffic very specific to what you are sending over to the sponsor - ie: Google pornstar traffic and you are sending it to a pornstar sponsor then you should expect to convert at a rate of under 1:400. If you have Google traffic for Red shoes and you try and sell them zebra striped guitars, chances are you MIGHT make a sale every now and then but in the end your sales ratios are going to be beyond horrid 1:6000 or worse. Long story short, look at the traffic coming to your site. What are the keywords they are using to get to you? Now find sponsors specific to that genre and that is how you will be most successful.

				 | The site in my sig does very well but its targeted with good niche traffic. Most general traffic sites that I have convert between 1:2000 all the way to 1:15000. At your rate it would take you all year to make a sale or 2 |

				 | depends on the quality of traffic you are sending and the quality of the site you are sending to, you could convert 1 out of 500 or less on a site that kicks ass or you could convert 1 out of 5000 if the site you are sending them to is nothing special, It's been years since I had a bunch of reality type sites and these days I'm focused mainly on cams, currently I get a free sign up on my cam sites every 65 uniques, doesn't mean they will all spend but 1 out of 65 signs up, this number fluctuates a bit up and down depending on the quality of the traffic source I send. |
