ADVICE needed on Filming and Photography

OK guys, I'm planning on doing some video and photography work on my next trip to the States this April. This will coincide with the Phoenix forum event in Nevada.

While i'm out their to work, I thought it would also be a good opportunity to hire some local talent for video work etc.

I did some VERY amateur work back in 2007 as you can see here: Busty Cherry

I never did anything with the video and picture content I took since then - until now. Just kept it for my archives. I've improved a lot since then, and would like to stock up on my own content for a future website I have in mind.

Besides requesting ID and asking the girls to sign a release form, should I be aware of anything else? Here are my questions:

    1. Does anyone know of any good talent agencies or sources in the Nevada area?
    2. Besides requesting ID and asking the girls to sign a release form, should I be aware of anything else?

Looking forward to hearing from you all.

    Thanks for your valuable advice.

Hey Xer0, in my opinion the biggest thing that separates amateur producers from pros is lighting - and that goes for video as well as stills photography. If you take the set you did of Cherry as an example you can see that it is an amateur shooting it in a hotel room with poor lighting. I realise you said you have improved a lot since then so maybe lighting is one area that you have been working on (in which case ignore what I am saying, but if not then read on). If you are going to be spending money on hiring talent, don't waste that money by not spending a little extra and getting a decent portable lighting kit. If you hire a pretty girl why not make the footage / photos look pretty too? I think you are based in the UK so just head to somewhere like www.warehouseexpress.com and you can pick up some fairly cheap continuous lighting kits there which you can carry around with you and will make even the crappiest hotel room look good (a basic two head kit should be ideal for you). And if you are worried about transporting a lighting kit to the US, don't worry - you can hire them locally by the day or week too

As a Professional videographer, I see a lot of productions that has poor lighting and armature camera work. I see this more with mainstream businesses than with porn, however I am shocked when a porn production will spend the money on a hot girl but nothing on the production itself.

I recommend that you find a videographer in the local area you will be visiting and hire them to light the scene for you. It is cheaper than buying the gear and you get an expert to light and perhaps give you some tips on shooting.
