    What percentage of dating site members actually buy?

    I asked this on the main forum but almost no one responded so thought Id do better to ask here.

    On most dating sites its free to join but if you want to do anything you need to pay.
    What % of people pay?
    And how much do you charge?

    Ive heard anywhere between 3% to 20% will pay on different sites, so I'd like to know what is realistic to expect on dating sites.

      Thats one you wont find many answers to. Its like asking someone how much money they have.

      The answer is pretty simple to guess and even though its not accurate you can bet your ass that its enough. They make enough to have nice cars, nice homes and party like rock stars.

              Id like to know so I can know how much I should charge. Id rather charge a lower monthly amount if it makes me more money

                          In my experience (as an affiliate, not a site owner) my free to paid is roughly around 7%. This is for mainstream dating only.

                              well, i will say around 5% convert from free to paid.
                              During a really good period, this can reach 20% .. Just from lookin at my stats, that is.. I am sure it will be different for everyone, cos of type of traffic & what dating site they are promoting. Anyways goodluck

                                  5% is a good general estimate. I have a lot of experience in the dating industry. My personal fling traffic converts to paid at around 13%, 1 in 8

                                          Yea I'd say ~5% is a good estimate. New sites tend to be better in the start though, for obvious reasons.
