How do you put content in Joomla?

this is very easy. depending on how much content you would want in there you will pay. It's just the labour work. nothing complicated.

If pics, in the administration, you go into media manager , create a folder ( newpics, newpics2. etc ) and upload pics.
Then, you can create static content linked to your menu. The best is to use a gallery component in which you can upload, get thumbs done, watermark and pages. Many components are available. Same for video. There are a few components YouTube style to display your videos.
